Erase Cat (erasecat.com) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Our principles
- 100% in your browser — AI photo erasing, background removal, censoring and every other tool run entirely in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to any server.
- Minimal retention — should we ever add a feature that genuinely requires server processing, those files would be used only to complete that request and auto-deleted within 24 hours.
- Never for training — your files are never used to train any AI model.
- No selling data — we do not sell your personal information.
2. What we collect
2.1 Files you provide
All current AI tools (photo erasing, background removal, censoring, etc.) run locally in your browser. The images you load into a tool never leave your device and are never sent to our servers. Model weights are downloaded once from a public CDN and cached locally — we download the model, never upload your image. If we ever add a feature that genuinely needs server processing, we'll say so clearly, and those files would be used only to complete that request, then auto-deleted within 24 hours — never repurposed, never used for training.
2.2 Technical information
To keep the service running and understand usage, we may collect anonymous technical data such as browser type, access time, page path, and aggregate feature counts. This is not used to identify you.
2.3 Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage to remember preferences (language, whether you've acknowledged the usage notice) and cookies required by analytics/ads. You can clear these in your browser.
3. Third-party services
We may use third-party analytics and advertising services, which may collect anonymous usage data under their own policies. We encourage you to review them.
4. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted transfer and time-limited deletion. Note that no internet transmission is ever perfectly secure.
5. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 14. Minors should use it with a guardian's guidance.
6. Your rights
You may ask what we hold and request deletion. Since our tools process your images locally and don't upload them, there is normally nothing for us to hold; for anything else, contact us at the published email.
