How to remove a date stamp from a photo
Lots of old photos — and plenty of phone and dashcam frames — carry a burned-in orange or white date and time in the corner. Upload your photo below, brush over that row of digits, and click Erase; AI rebuilds the background behind it. Since the stamp usually sits on a simple area, it comes off cleanly. Free, no signup, nothing is ever uploaded.

Step by step
- 1
Upload the stamped photo
Upload the photo with the date or time stamp in the corner.
- 2
Cover the whole stamp
Paint over the entire row of digits, including the gaps, colons and slashes between them.
- 3
Erase
Click Erase and AI flattens the digits away; over flat areas or sky it's nearly invisible.
Two things to know about date stamps
A burned-in date stamp is just pixels drawn on top of the image. Erasing it changes only how the photo looks — it doesn't touch the real capture time stored in the file (EXIF). You're clearing the visible orange digits, not the photo's actual date metadata.
Cover the entire row of digits, including the colons and slashes and the gaps between them. Since stamps usually sit in a corner over flat color, sky or ground, the removal is typically clean in one pass.
If the digits land on a face or a detailed subject, the AI has to guess and may not be perfect; in that case keep the passes small. The same method works for timestamps burned into phone shots and dashcam frames.

Frequently asked questions
Can I remove a stamp that lands on a face or the subject?
You can brush it, but over a face or detailed subject the AI has to guess, so it may not be perfect; stamps over background, sky or ground clear most cleanly.
Does removing the stamp change the photo's real date?
No. The stamp is just pixels drawn on top; erasing it only changes how the image looks and doesn't touch the file's capture data (EXIF).
A whole batch has stamps — do I do them one by one?
For now, yes. The upside: the stamp sits in a fixed spot on a simple background, so once you've got the hang of it each photo is just one brushed row and a click.
